Canvassing for Daniel Biss & Jim Walz in Batavia – 12/30/2017

December 26, 2017

While this campaign isn’t backed by ridiculous lumps of cash- we have the power of the people. Join our grassroots effort to spread the word about Daniel Biss, a champion for women, workers, immigrants, minorities, students, and the LGBTQ community. Daniel is the most progressive candidate for Governor of Illinois, and it’s up to us to tell our community about him!

Jim Walz has served as a school board member for Warren Township High School District #121. During this time, he was able to improve and oversee the educational environment of local youth, and also the environmental standards of their education. Volunteering has filled much of Jim’s time outside of his working and spending time with his family. From coaching in Youth Baseball, to flood relief efforts at Gurnee Grade School, to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, to Gurnee Days Parade activities, Jim has never hesitated to lend a hand in help to a local institution in need.

We will be meeting at 11:00 AM to talk about our plan of action and to grab some canvassing materials. Clipboards, campaign literature, stickers, and buttons will all be provided! We’ll discuss some door knocking tips and strategies over coffee and donuts.

Dress warm! Wear layers, a cozy coat, hats, gloves, etc.

We will be taking an awesome group picture!

*Please mark “Going” if You can make it! And look out for updates
